Al Sturgeon is currently serving as the preaching minister at the Ocean Springs church of Christ in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Al is originally from Northeast Arkansas, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
He holds a variety of life experiences including serving as a houseparent at a residential child care facility, six years as a high school teacher, and three years as an athletics coach. He has also completed several hours of graduate work in public administration, and founded two Habitat for Humanity affiliates.
Al is also a writer, has served as a contributing writer for Iam3rd.com and New Winsekins magazine (online), and has published one book (a military biography).
He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, traveling, reading, and attempting to learn the sport of golf.
